OmegaOne is here to announce a new product line that many of our customers have been asking for! Omega-Seal is a line of O-Ring Face Seal fittings from OmegaOne. This new fitting has many advantages for your tube applications. Advantages of Omega-Seal Fittings O-ring face seal is fairly common in our industry. OmegaOne named our line Omega-Seal. The difference between the Omega-Seal fitting and other fittings we make which use o-rings, is that the o-ring seals on the face of the fitting. As with our other fittings, there are three main components, fitting body, nut, and sleeve. There are two different type of sleeves used with o-ring face seal fittings, a mechanical sleeve and a braze sleeve. OmegaOne is manufacturing both type of sleeves. High-Quality Seals These fittings are really easy to service and change if need be. They are very commonly used in shipbuilding and CNG as they offer a leak-free connection up to 9000 PSA and can handle a wide variety of temperatures applications

What thisallows us to do is either at the time of order or following the order you can contact us for the information, and we can easily retrieve it. We can offer whats called a certificate of compliance, which states the material properties. We can also provide whats called the full MTR material traceability report that goes all the way back to the raw material and how the metal was formed. Why OmegaOne
Fitting.Made.Easy. Technical Bulletin Thread Galling Thread galling is a common concern with stainless steel fittings. When two surfaces come into contact with each other there can be adhesion which can cause a tearing of the metal on the thread. This is referred to as thread galling. Galling will cause threads to not seat properly which will cause the fitting to not seal properly and ultimately fail. While thread galling can occur when proper installation and use is followed the problem is easily preventable. Thread galling will not occur with SAE, UNC straight threads or BSPP (British Parallel Port). OmegaOne stocks both flare fittings (TX) and flareless (F) which are straight threads. BSPP fittings are available as a non-standard. OmegaOne flare fittings (TX) follow torque SAE specifications and will not gall unless the torque specification is exceeded. Flareless (F Series) nuts are manufactured with a Moly-Coating to lubricate the threads preventing thread galling. Both male
OmegaOne manufactures stainless steel hydraulic fittings and adapters in a variety of thread types. There are two main categories of threads which encompass the offering from OmegaOne. The two types of threads are straight or parallel threads and taper threads that both perform and seal differently. This blog covers taper threads, straight threads are covered separately. NPT and NPTF Tapered threaded pipe is commonly used in systems that handle liquids, gasses, steam and hydraulic fluids. OmegaOne fittings and adapters are manufactured primarily for use in hydraulic systems. The most common fitting in the United States and Canada is the National Pipe Taper thread or NPT. The seal for an NPT thread is a mechanical seal. The seal is formed as the male and female threads are tightened together forming a dry seal. The thread angle on an NPT and NPTF thread is 60 70 that have flattened peaks and valleys which is referred to as a Sellers form. Threads per inch, pitch and the peaks and valleys
This British Thread Reducing Adapter is 1/2 male BSPP by -3 SAE Female thread. This adapter also required the hex to be milled down to 30mm.
Have you ever needed a flare fitting by weld-on? OmegaOne has made a special BHJS-4-SE for a customer who needs to connect their metal hose assembly using an elbow rather than the standard straight weld-on fitting. OmegaOne is able to modify any of our elbow fittings, Flare, Flareless or Pipe Swivel fittings to mate to a welded metal hose. Inquire with our sales team today to develop a solution to your metal hose fabrication solution.
Braid bands, also referred to as braid sleeves or braid ferrules, are used to secure woven braided sleeves that cover corrugated metal hoses. The braided sleeve provides strength to the corrugated metal hose, and also protects the hose from abrasion. The AMFM Braid Band retains the braided sleeve against the hose and allows the two parts to be welded together. Understanding the sizing process for AMFM Braid Bands is a crucial step in selecting and ordering the right parts. Today, well walk you through the steps to correctly sizing your brand bands. About our AMFM Braid Bands The AMFM Braid Band was designed to accommodate the variable factors in hose fabrication. It is a solid band manufactured for 3/16 through 2 hose sizes. Braid Band (ID) sizes are manufactured in 0.150 increments from .420 through 3. The AMFM Braid Band is primarily manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel, with availability in 316 Stainless Steel, Copper and Monel. The incremental sizing allows the fabricator to
This special straight thread connector is a 1/2 flare tube fitting by 1/2 British Standard Parallel Port (BSPP) thread. This BSPP fitting was manufactured with a bonded seal. The bonded seal integrates the steel plated retaining washer and the rubber o-ring offering a one piece solution. The TX-8-GC-BSPP has a groove machined on the face of the hex and the o-ring seal seats flat against the opposing flat surface. BSPP Threads There are two types of British Standard Pipe Threads. There is the BSP/BSPT which refer to the same thread standard which is for a taper thread. The BSPP standard refers to a straight thread vs the taper thread of the BSPT. BSPP stands for British Standard Pipe Parallel thread. Popular in Europe including the UK as well as parts of Asia, the BSPP straight thread fitting seals with a bonded seal to accomplish the seal. The bonded seal (similar to an O-Ring on an SAE straight thread) is compressed between the shoulder of the fitting and the face of the female thread
Most manufacturers these days are extremely familiar with the supply chain concept of lean, which centers on minimizing waste. But a new supply chain methodology is climbing the ranks in the list of manufacturing principles, and many experts argue that this new strategy may actually prove more beneficial for some companies than the lean strategy. So, what exactly is this new supply chain principle? Agile supply chains: an alternate strategy. While the lean supply chain certainly offers great benefits for many companies (including reduced costs and minimized waste) this strategy tends to work best when the manufacturer is producing a large volume of products with a consistent level of demand and a small amount of variety. For companies with more unpredictable demand who manufacture a greater variety of goods (including frequent customized goods), an agile supply chain strategy will often be more effective at reducing costs and increasing productivity. For these companies, the volume
In recent years, there has been a strong push from both American consumers and American businesses to bring manufacturing back home to the U.S. This growing interest in reshoring isnt surprising: Following the offshoring movement (the process of sending jobs from the U.S. to foreign countries with cheaper labor) that began in the 70s and 80s, the American economy has experienced its fair share of downturns and setbacks, including increased unemployment and weakened global competitiveness. Check out these 5 undeniable benefits of manufacturing reshoring that cant afford to be ignored. 1. Reshoring means higher quality products for consumers. Foreign manufacturing is all about offering the cheapest solutions on the market cheap labor, cheap tools, cheap technologies, and cheap processes. Cheap manufacturing was all the rage several decades ago, but American consumers have begun to grow tired of poorly made (and sometimes even unsafe) goods produced in countries with lax manufacturing

OmegaOne manufactured this special 1 BHJS with Class 3 threads and lock wire. United Thread Standards are used to define the machining of threads. The standards cover many different aspects of threaded products, including products OmegaOne manufactures. There are three primary classification categories used. OmegaOne manufactures primarily Class 2 threads which are call for on with our standard product. Class 2 threads are the most common, the level to which OmegaOne fittings are manufactured to as standard. In some occasions, Class 3 threads are used in manufacturing when tighter tolerances are required. A customer recently requested a standard BHJS fitting with a few special modifications. This BHJS fitting was manufactured to a Class 3 threads as well as incorporating a lock wire to incorporate an additional level of safety. Steel is one of the most commonly used materials in the world. That said, people often forget that there many types of steels, each with their own differing properties and uses. According to the World Steel Association, there are more than 3,500 different grades of steel with vastly different properties. With all of these varieties of steel available for purchase on the market, its important to remember that not all types of steel are considered equal. When it comes to fittings, you NEED to be using stainless steel. When it comes to choosing a steel fitting, your primary options are stainless steel or carbon steel. So, whats the difference? Carbon steel contains anywhere from 0.04% to 1.50% carbon. It can be broken into 3 main subcategories, based on the level of carbon present: Low carbon steel (also known as mild steel) Medium carbon steel High carbon steel Stainless steel is a metal alloy containing iron, and must contain at least 10.5% chromium (although it may contain much
